Footprints

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 7, 2026

Footprints is made by Great Work LLC ("we"). This policy explains what the Footprints iPhone app and its Home Screen widget do with your information.

Your activity data stays on your iPhone

With your permission, Footprints reads your step count, flights climbed and walking + running distance from Apple Health and from your iPhone's motion sensor. It stores the daily totals on your device and in an app group shared only with the Footprints widget. This data is never sent to us or to anyone else, is never used for advertising, and is never sold.

You can turn off access at any time in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > Footprints, and in Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored.

No account

Footprints has no sign-up or login. We don't collect your name, email address or contacts.

Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. If you allow tracking when iOS asks (App Tracking Transparency), Google may use your device's advertising identifier to show more relevant ads; if you don't, ads are not personalized. Google may collect device information such as your IP address and device model to serve and measure ads. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choice before any ad is requested, and you can change it later from Privacy Choices in the More tab.

Purchases

Footprints Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details.

Children

Footprints is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
